Every year our team gets together to support the registration process and handing out race numbers/bibs for the Falmouth Road Race. We have the opportunity to do this again. This not only supports a great cause for our town but when we help, we receive funds from the road race that help support our efforts as well. Learn how to register >

Gerald Flynn House Improvements Underway

May 1, 2024 - Work is underway sprucing-up the Gerald Flynn House on Palmer Avenue, which BTEO acquired in March 2024. Guided by Christian Valle of the Valle Group building company, several local contractors have, free of charge, begun improvements. For example, huge thanks to Hamilton Tree and Landscape and Rapoza Landscape for the work they recently performed (see related pictures).

Claddagh Bowl 2024 Recap

March 16, 2024 - Thank you to all who participated and sponsored at BTEO's Claddagh Bowl at the Trade Center Bowl. The event featured a friendly tournament, with prizes for winners and best costume, a raffle, and food.

BTEO Awarded Grant from Cape Cod Foundation

The Women and Girls Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $50,000 in grants to five nonprofit organizations, and BTEO was one of the recipients. The Foundation launched the Women and Girls Fund in 2022 to build resources and provide grants for initiatives that empower women and girls across Barnstable County. Read more >

Falmouth Residents Sleep Out To Raise Awareness About Homelessness

The sun set at 4:15 PM in Falmouth on December 21. Some Falmouth residents spent that night - the longest night of the year - in tents or cars in the parking lot of the First Congregational Church to honor the 49 Cape and Islands unhoused people who died in 2023. The event began with a vigil at the church in recognition of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. Read more >

BTEO Honored With Human Rights Award

Belonging to Each Other was selected as the 2024 Human Rights Award group recipient by the Church Women United of Cape Cod. A celebration of the award is planned for mid-January.
Since 2006, Church Women United has held events nationally to recognize individuals and groups that have supported the cause of human rights by maintaining a high regard for the dignity of others. Read more >
