The homelessness prevention group Belonging To Each Other is poised to purchase the Gerald Flynn House on Palmer Avenue, the group’s first real estate acquisition. BTEO Awarded Grant from Cape Cod Foundation

The Women and Girls Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $50,000 in grants to five nonprofit organizations, and BTEO was one of the recipients. Falmouth Residents Sleep Out To Raise Awareness About Homelessness

The sun set at 4:15 PM in Falmouth on December 21. Some Falmouth residents spent that night - the longest night of the year - in tents or cars in the parking lot of the First Congregational Church to honor the 49 Cape and Islands unhoused people who died in 2023. Belonging to Each Other was selected as the 2024 Human Rights Award group recipient by the Church Women United of Cape Cod. A celebration of the award is planned for mid-January.

Longest Night Vigil Aims to Bring Hope

The longest night of the year - December 21 - is designated as National Homeless Persons' Memorial Day, and this year marks 33 years of honoring those without homes who have died. Belonging to Each Other (BTEO), the Falmouth-based nonprofit providing winter shelter and year-round support services for Falmouth men and women experiencing homelessness, is helping to organize the vigil.
