“As one of the Founding members of BTEO, helping this group provide transitional housing to people experiencing homelessness has been a very rewarding experience. Last year all the founding members were invited to participate in a fundraising event. It was a wonderful reunion as the original group met with the new staff and volunteers. I was inspired to be more creative and to do something more than donating money myself.
Being an avid Facebook user, I witnessed how many people use Facebook for fund raising. So, I decided to ask my friends and family to join me in supporting Belonging to Each Other by donating on my birthday. The result was amazing and heartwarming! When Elyse told me the amount BTEO received, I could not believe it. I had no idea that so many of my friends would make donations. And the idea served a double purpose: it provided both publicity and fund-raising. It was an amazingly simple idea, but the result was most gratifying. My heart is full of thanks to my friends who stepped up to help this very worthy organization.”
